Spring Duck Hunting Update
Apr. 03, 2010 - Ducks are here! Seen 10 drake greenheads together today, and some divers off looking for some open water. It was nice to see some ducks finally as the Canada geese have flying low over head the past 2 weeks.
Found some Deer horns!
Mar. 30, 2010 - I couldn't believe my eyes, we found both sides within 15 ft of each other! Just inside the bush on a well used trail. I had scouted the area prior to this weekend and knew there were some deer around.
Spring?
Mar. 19, 2010 - Hard to believe, but the daily temps are sure warm and the snow is all but gone. Seen some crows yesterday and a few have reported robin sightings. Could be that we are going to be on the water sooner than usual, that's fine by me.
Manitoba Fishing
Mar. 17, 2010 - Many fisherman will recall when they spoke to me in the past years i was honest ad told them the fishing was poor, -well fishing has been improving a lot! In fact this past summer of 09 was every bit as good of fishing as anywhere.
Looking for Deer sheds
Feb. 22, 2010 - Spent Sunday looking for deer sheds and didn't find any. I don't think they all dropped yet because there have been a few bucks seen still sporting their head gear.
