Looking for Deer sheds

By Gildas | February 22, 2010

Spent Sunday looking for deer sheds and didn't find any. I don't think they all dropped yet because there have been a few bucks seen still sporting their head gear.

I did find some excellent places to keep looking however with tons of tracks where they are feeding. We have had lots of snow lately too which would have covered up any antlers, but with the mild winter i think they are a couple week from dropping off. I am going to spend more time looking for sheds this year as we left a few bucks walk this fall and i want to find their treasured antlers.

As spring appraoches it will give way to lots of information from the past fall and hopefully some antlers.

Stay tuned.
