Hunting Illegally?

Why Crime Doesn't Pay..

A Wisconsin man won't be able to hunt in Ontario, Canada anytime soon. And, he has to turn over the head of a bull moose he shot illegally in 2006.

The Ontario Court of Justice banned 37-year-old Jason Skogstad of Eleva from hunting in Ontario for a year and fined him $4,000 for hunting and transporting the moose.

His hunting partner, 43-three-year-old Dennis Dziekan of Mondovi, was fined $1,000 for illegal possession and transportation of a moose.

Luck Of the Draw

Good New For Hunters in North Dakota!

Hunters in North Dakota are eagerly awaiting their letters from North Dakota Game and Fish. They have increased the amount of tags by 850 this year in order to maintain the population in the state.

“It’s a lottery system so if they want the best chance to draw it (their deer of choice) the first lottery has the best chance,” Jensen said. “...There’s going to be a lot of opportunity and I hope people take advantage of it.”
