Good deer numbers
Wow, we are seeing more deer this spring and summer than ever! I am very happy with the number of deer in our area. They are doing very good as compared to past years. The mild winter, little snow and gentle early spring has been a benifit for all the animals. The wolves must have moved on or at least shrunk in numbers. I know of 28 wolves that were harvested last winter and that is a good start. In this 5 million acres there are surley more but their favorite food, the moose, are not as abundant as in the past, so maybe they have moved on to find a good herd of slow moose instead trying to run down these monster whitetails everyday.
