Not a bird, bear or a buck!

Its not a bird bear nor buck, its a turtle! It is common for us to see painted turtles here but this year we have had many ckme and dig into our dike to lay their eggs. It is pretty amazing to see them dig so deep only using their hind legs. Once about 12 inches deep they drop the eggs in and cover it up. This seems to always take place late evening somewhere high and dry and by morning you cant hardly see where she nested. We have some video of turtles in egg laying action us tons of pictures. Last fall we actually found baby turtles around the yard. They are only about the size of a silver dollar. Nature is very interesting to say the least.
