so far a good winter

so far a good winter

December 13, 2011 by

Living in this part of the country can mean cold face and hands most winter days. This year we have been lucky with the many mild days and lack of snow. I personally am happy with this for good reason. One, cold = $ for energy costs! With all the buildings i have with heat on, that bears alot of expense. Two, snow contributes to spring thaw water levels and we don't need any more water! We are building a dike to protect us from future floods but the water levels are way too high for the area and residents around the lakes. It really doesn't help with duck prodution either. Three, i just don't have time to deal with heavy snow falls and cold temperatures right now. Lots of construction projects on the go at both places so we can't offer any winter adventure/trip sales anyhow. may as well be snowless and warm.

Anyhow, now that i said it, murphy will send me a snow storm and a deep freeze! hahaha
